EverFi Education for the University of Mississippi
Dear University of Mississippi Student,
You most likely joined the University of Mississippi community because you want to better yourself in some way. At the University of Mississippi we are dedicated to setting you up for greater success both as a student and as a member of the community here and beyond.
As such, the University of Mississippi partnered with EVERFI, whose mission is to help students address critical life skills, such as alcohol abuse prevention, sexual assault prevention, and financial literacy, at higher education institutions and greek organizations across the country.
The University of Mississippi expects you to complete the EVERFI course(s): Sexual Assault Prevention, AlcoholEdu, and Prescription Drug Abuse Prevention. This education, which covers campus policies, bystander intervention techniques, and substance use will help you to:
» Develop critical skills to make thoughtful and healthy choices outside the classroom
» Reflect on your knowledge, attitudes, and experiences related to these issues
» Support your peers and yourself when faced with tough situations
You should have received access to the course(s) and the education must be completed by August 25, 2019. A hold may be placed on your account should you fail to meet the above listed requirements.
Thank you for your support in maintaining a safe, supportive community at the University of Mississippi.
