Masters Swim

The Ole Miss Masters Swim team is a coached swim program for advanced level swimmers looking for simply a great workout or to train for a specific event. Membership fees are $40 per semester for students, $60 per semester for non-student Turner Center members, and $100 per semester for non-members. Practices are held througout the academic semester on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 6am-7am, and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7pm-8pm.

Meet our coaches!

Taylor SchusterTaylor Schuster

Taylor is the new Masters coach and is currently working his way towards a degree in legal studies here at the University of Mississippi. Originally from Jacksonville, FL, Taylor has worked in or around water since high school. This includes lifeguarding and helping to run swim camps during most summers. He has been swimming for various club teams since the age of 6 and swam for Episcopal School of Jacksonville, where he was able to compete at regional and state level. Shortly after graduating high school, Taylor had the opportunity to join his father and sister on the accomplished coaching staff for club team Amberjax. His goal is to create an environment that fosters improvement, friendly competition and camaraderie among its participants.

 

Walker Burrow

Walker is originally from Jackson, MS and is currently a senior studying geological engineering here at Ole Miss. He went to St. Joseph Catholic High School where he set several state records in the 100-yard Butterfly and 100-yard Backstroke events. He has coached a summer league team in Jackson, MS for 5 years, a semi-competitive swim team for beginner swimmers ages 5-12 at the Goose Creek Club, and is currently the head swim coach for Regent School of Oxford. Walker’s favorite event to swim is the 100-yard backstroke. Walker strives to push each swimmer to achieve the most out of their experience as a part of the Master’s Swim Team through individualized coaching and personal goal setting Walker is originally from Jackson, MS and is currently a senior studying geological engineering here at Ole Miss.
