Small Group Training

Spring 2021 Sessions

Session 1: February 8th-March 10th

Day/Time: Monday/Wednesday 8:30am-10am

Format: Weightlifting for Men

Location: Turner Fitness Center 

Cost: $100 – These small group sessions are 1 hour and 30 minutes in duration and will include a brief classroom component to educate you on the lift before trying and learning it on the floor.

Session 2: February 9th-March 11th

Day/Time: Tuesday/Thursday 8:30am-10am

Format: Weightlifting for Women 

Location: Turner Fitness Center 

Cost: $100 – These small group sessions are 1 hour and 30 minutes in duration and will include a brief classroom component to educate you on the lift before trying and learning it on the floor.

Personal Training

The Ole Miss Fitness Personal Training Program is designed to aid the client in the pursuit of his or her individual fitness goals. Our certified personal trainers provide you with a fun, yet challenging exercise program and motivational support. We work with a wide range of clients with varying fitness goals, but no matter the objective, we have a trainer who wants to work with you. Our personal trainers will challenge you to step outside your comfort zone and enhance your life through movement while providing motivation every step of the way.

Our trainers are all certified through nationally accredited organizations such as the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA). Additionally, our trainers have completed a 15 hour in-house training course designed to supplement the knowledge and skills obtained via certification. We continually develop our trainers through fitness trend education, equipment specific training, and experiential learning.

To be paired with a trainer, please complete a Personal Training Packet, and return to fitness@go.olemiss.edu.

Some of our COVID-19 training protocol changes to both our individual and partner sessions:

  1. Screening of employees and patrons prior to entering the fitness spaces and Campus Recreation facilities
  2. Face masks or face coverings for both client and trainer at all times
  3. Creating spaces off the main fitness floor for more private sessions (Examples include: Personal Training Suite, Group Fitness Studios, and outdoor locations if preferred)
  4. Maintaining social distancing as much as possible at all times
  5. Eliminating some of the physical touch parts of physical fitness assessments, including a Zoom call for the first assessment/goal setting session

*All packages begin with a fitness assessment and consultation. Sessions are one hour in length. 


PERSONAL TRAINING POLICIES

Package Completion Policy:  Participants have 150 days from the date of the first session to complete all sessions purchased.  Failure to do so will result in the forfeiture of the remaining sessions.

Individual Session Cancellation Policy:  Individual sessions must be cancelled at least 24 hours before your scheduled training time.  Failure to cancel or to show up for a scheduled session will result in the loss of your training session.  Please contact your trainer directly to cancel a session.

Package Cancellation/Refund Policy:  To cancel the remaining sessions of a purchased package and receive a refund in the amount of the unused sessions, the participant MUST produce the original receipt given when payment is accepted.  No exceptions.
