Spring 2022 Session One Options

HIIT Fit Bootcamp

South Campus Recreation Center | Indoor/Outdoor Turf
January 31st – February 16th | Monday/Wednesday 12:00pm to 1:00pm

Description: This three week program will include a hybrid plan of high intensity interval training with a mix of functional movements such as kettlebell swings, squat jumps, sprints and more. This class will develop an individual’s stamina and endurance while also allowing for muscle growth throughout the process for all fitness levels. Sessions will be an hour long, and the group will meet twice a week at the South Campus Recreation Center. 

Functional Fitness Circuit Training

Description: This three week program will be a mix of strength training and cardiovascular training using interval based circuits. Participants will learn how to properly use functional training equipment such as kettlebells, battle ropes, sandbags and more while also learning non-traditional lifting variations of lunges, squats, presses, and rows. There will also be a conditioning component added in with non-traditional cardio equipment like the speedmill and ski-ergs. The overall goal for this program is to teach participants new training options that are tailored towards improving activities of daily living for all fitness levels. Sessions will be an hour long, and the group will meet twice a week in the Turner Center Vault.   

 

Spring 2022 Session Two Options 

Intro to Weightlifting

Turner Center| The Tank
February 21st – March 11th | Tuesday/Thursday 5:15pm to 6:15pm

Description: This program will run for 1 hour and occur twice per week in The Tank at the Turner Center. The session will include an overview of our primary functional movements. This list includes squats, presses, rows and deadlift variations using barbells and dumbbells. All fitness levels are welcome, and the program is built to progress with the participants’ fitness levels each week.   

Powerlifting 101

South Campus Recreation Center | HD Athletic Rig
February 21st – March 11th | Monday/Wednesday 10:45am-11:45am

Description: This session will take place at the South Campus Recreation Center. The program is a hybrid of strength training as well as hypertrophy training. The group will learn the basic lifts (Squat, Bench, Deadlift) and the accompanying variations of each such as box squats, explosive pause rep bench press, Romanian deadlift, and more. Sessions will last for an hour taking place twice a week and will be full-body workouts. The basic lifts will be the core foundation of each workout with an emphasis on tricep, bicep, and core at the end of each session in a circuit. All fitness levels are welcome!

 


Personal Training

The Ole Miss Fitness Personal Training Program is designed to aid the client in the pursuit of his or her individual fitness goals. Our certified personal trainers provide you with a fun, yet challenging exercise program and motivational support. We work with a wide range of clients with varying fitness goals, but no matter the objective, we have a trainer who wants to work with you. Our personal trainers will challenge you to step outside your comfort zone and enhance your life through movement while providing motivation every step of the way.

Our trainers are all certified through nationally accredited organizations such as the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA). Additionally, our trainers have completed a 15 hour in-house training course designed to supplement the knowledge and skills obtained via certification. We continually develop our trainers through fitness trend education, equipment specific training, and experiential learning.

*We are currently experiencing a high volume of personal training packets and have a waitlist to be paired with a trainer. Complete your personal training packet if interested in being added to the waitlist. If you are not interested in being placed on our waitlist, please consider our Small Group Training options above.

  • 16 Sessions – $360 ($180/partner)

All packages begin with a fitness assessment and consultation. Sessions are one hour in length.

COVID-19 Training Protocols

  1. Face masks or face coverings for both client and trainer at all times
  2. Creating spaces off the main fitness floor for more private sessions (Examples include: Personal Training Suite, Group Fitness Studios, and outdoor locations if preferred)
  3. Maintaining social distancing as much as possible at all times
  4. Eliminating some of the physical touch parts of physical fitness assessments, including a Zoom call for the first assessment/goal setting session

PERSONAL TRAINING POLICIES

Package Completion Policy:  Participants have 150 days from the date of the first session to complete all sessions purchased.  Failure to do so will result in the forfeiture of the remaining sessions.

Individual Session Cancellation Policy:  Individual sessions must be canceled at least 24 hours before your scheduled training time.  Failure to cancel or to show up for a scheduled session will result in the loss of your training session.  Please contact your trainer directly to cancel a session.

Package Cancellation/Refund Policy:  To cancel the remaining sessions of a purchased package and receive a refund in the amount of the unused sessions, the participant MUST produce the original receipt given when payment is accepted.  No exceptions.
